Cardinal Health PET Services programs are designed to increase patient access to this important imaging modality. Positron Emission Tomography (PET), enhances patient treatment through improved disease diagnosis, staging, and monitoring. Leveraging our fully integrated network of 156 domestic nuclear pharmacies, Cardinal Health PET Services compounds, dispenses and distributes patient-specific, unit-dose FDG in 78 pharmacy markets today.
What Chemical/ Pharmaceutical Ops contributes to Cardinal Health Operates automatic and manual manufacturing and chemical process equipment of varying complexity in various production processes in accordance with operating procedures. Performs a variety of tasks related to the processing of ingredients and/or pharmaceutical products. Handles raw materials and intermediate or finished products. Mixes compound ingredients for liquid products, suspensions, ointments, mixes, or blends for tablet granulations and capsule powders. May perform general maintenance as required on pumps, homogenizers, filter presses, tablet compression machines, etc. Performs standard operating procedures to meet current good manufacturing practices (GMP). Maintains records as required. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Accountabilities in this role * This position is THIRD SHIFT , working in a lab environment with radioisotopes. * Experience in a scientific and/or technical environment desirable * Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or comparable mechanical, electronic or laboratory background preferred * Ability to analyze fairly complex data and develop recommendations and solutions in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment * Excellent planning, organizing and project management skills * Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively * Strong customer, quality and results orientation * Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures * Knowledge of FDG manufacturing is highly desirable * HPLC and GC experience preferred in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment * Prior research, pharmaceutical manufacturing or chemical manufacturing experience preferred
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED required; degree preferred in Chemistry, Biology or Physics * 1-3 years related work experience and/or training required
