Description Tell A Friend Minimum Requirements:
Juris doctorate degree from an A.B.A. Accredited law school and admission to the bar. Six (6) years of experience and demonstrated competence as a practicing attorney in relevant area of law. Superior academic record. Excellent research and writing skills. Strong negotiation, human relations and communications skills. Experience negotiating complex general commercial transactions required.
Provides legal counsel, advice, review, and direction to internal customers. Drafts and reviews legal documents and negotiates complex transactions to ensure maximum benefit to the corporation and minimum exposure and risk. Structures, negotiates and drafts legal and financial documents.
Acts as primary legal department contact for outside attorney communications on assigned projects/issues.
Provides advice to other members of the legal department, upon request, with respect to area of expertise. Conducts research and prepares memoranda relating to these areas. Plans, coordinates and implements legal activities relating to significant corporate programs.
Monitors and interprets changes to and trends in government and legislative policies at the federal, state, local or international level. Determines company impact and advises senior management accordingly.
Participates in the planning phase of various company products, services or projects and assists in plotting a course of action which balances the company's goals with legal and regulatory concerns.
