PURPOSE:
* Responsible for process-engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements in order to support a manufacturing organization.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES/DUTIES: * Lead a cross-functional NPI group to ensure the effective transfer of product to volume scale up and managing the repair readiness process and acceptance test. * Work within project teams to define project plans, deliverables and estimate work effort. * Ensure robust process in place to deliver sustainable yields and quality on new products while maintaining aggressive time to market schedules. * Lead DFM activities and manage technical communication with Customer in conjunction with CFT members. * Lead six-sigma teams to improve processes, efficiency, throughput, quality, cost/defect reduction initiatives. * Provide leadership role during failure investigations. Support development of new work processes, automated tools and test fixtures for improving quality & efficiency. * Provide technical training on product/process to production employees when required. * Ensure company systems and processes conform to company QMS requirements.
* Electrical/Electronics Engineering degree (E.E.) from a recognized university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Minimum 5-8 years working experience in process or product engineering gained in a manufacturing and/or repair type environment. * Experience transferring products through NPI to volume. * Ability to debug to component level. * Working knowledge of CE devices is a must. DESIRED (NICE-TO-HAVE) MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Able to work effectively with many priorities. * Strong working knowledge of DFM/DFX principals, PFMEA, DOE, SPC, six-sigma/DMAIC techniques. * Ability to read electronic schematics. * Ability to make practical decisions without appreciable direction.
