Georgia-Pacific Corporation has an exciting new position available in the Memphis area. We are seeking a Plant Manager in our RPC division to lead our Memphis, TN plant, which sanitizes reusable plastic containers (RPCs) for the produce industry.
The ideal candidate will have a manufacturing background with previous supervisory experience and a strong emphasis around safety. The ideal candidate will be ready for the next step in their career to a role where they will lead operations at the plant level, and should be able to lead large projects, change cultures and implement new procedures to run the business safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Lead all Safety, Compliance, Operations and Administration functions
Lead the plant to achieve injury and error free performance
Ensure 10,000% Compliance (100% of the organization, 100% of the time) with applicable governmental/GP regulations and environmental safety & health
Lead the day to day manufacturing operations of the plant, to include safety, production, shipping, receiving, scheduling and maintenance
Develop and coach direct reports
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree preferred
7+ years of progressive manufacturing management experience preferred
High level of energy, entrepreneurship and comfort working in a demanding corporate setting required
High level of humility and comfort with constructive criticism and challenge required
Required knowledge, skills & abilities:
Understand and be able to interpret and analyze financial and operating statements
Strong safety knowledge and the ability to recognize/correct hazardous conditions and behaviors
Ability to influence, interface and gain credibility across a wide range of levels

GP Supervisors and Leads
GP front-line employees
Experience leading and managing direct reports including coaching, performance feedback and incentives
Understand fundamental manufacturing and operations concepts / key drivers
