Manager, Reimbursement and Budgeting - Job Code Number: 153 Department: Reimbursement Schedule: Full-time Shift: Day shift Hours Per Week: 40 Hours Status: Job Details: Directs and manages the activities of reimbursement and budgeting to provide financial support and analysis of the operations of the organization. Ensures accurate payment for services provided Medicare, Medicaid and other program beneficiaries. Reviews, evaluates and monitors financial, cost analysis and all government reimbursement reporting, ensuring the utilization of proper methodologies for monthly contractual allowances and forecast reimbursement for the long range financial plan. Ensures compliance with all organizational and regulatory standards related to governmental and third-party payor requirements. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or related field with emphasis in Finance, Economics or Accounting. Masters Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration (focus on healthcare) or Healthcare Administration preferred. Five (5) years of progressive healthcare experience with at least three (3) years directly involved in administering reimbursement programs. Thorough knowledge of the principle/theories of accounting and governmental reimbursement programs required in a hospital and managed care environment. Strong computer and analytical skills in working with complex financial and statistical data. Effective communication skills, ability to plan and organize work, ability to give and follow instructions and ability to react and perform in routine and stressful situations. Ability to understand and prepare complex written materials, such as governmental and third-party payor requirements and standards, Medicare and Medicaid cost reports and business plans. Ability and willingness to prepare and make presentations to Board of Directors and Senior Management. Ability to work without close supervision or professional guidance and to exercise independent judgment. Bachelors degree is required
