Manager, Health Information Management (Coding/Systems) - Job Code Number: 156 Department: Hlth Information Mgmt Schedule: Full-time Shift: Day shift Hours Per Week: 40 Hours Status: Salaried Job Details: Plans, coordinates and manages activities of Health Information Management for inpatient and outpatient operations to ensure medical records are processed, completed and maintained in accordance with established organizational policies, procedures, medical bylaws, billing requirements, and other regulatory/compliance requirements. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's of science degree in Health Information Management. Current certification as a Registered HIM administrator or technician required. Three (3) years experience in Health Information Management with twelve (12) months supervisory experience preferred. Thorough knowledge of Health Information Management standards and practices in order to plan, organize, direct, and control the medical record function. Demonstrated skills in organizing and prioritizing work in order to meet job demands. Work requires the ability to communicate effectively and present information in an organized manner. Demonstrated ability to exercise complex analytical judgment. Experience in a union environment desired. Bachelors degree is preferred
