AREA GENERAL MANAGER
SUMMARY: This uniquely qualified individual will have complete P&L responsibility for an assigned territory consisting of multiple locations across several states. Incumbent will provide senior leadership and direction, working through managers to ensure efficient asset utilization and cost control while steering the sales process to drive new business opportunities. The General Manager will be responsible for long-term and short-term business and financial goal achievement. The General Manager will motivate and develop a highly competent team to respond to customer demands 24/7/365 and develop strong client relationships that allow the company to partner with key contacts and ensure core business security while constantly exploring new business possibilities.
Requirements:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate will have a track record of driving revenue and profits in a multi-location service related industry. Qualified candidates will have the following:
A bachelors Degree and a minimum of 10 years of progressive P&L responsibility in a cost conscious environment.
Experience in the transportation, construction or other unionized heavy equipment industries preferred.
Experience managing sales and marketing teams including selection, training and performance management.
The ability to identify, measure and manage key indicators of business plan success.
Strong PC skills that include MS Word and Excel.
Willingness to travel with little or no notice; some weekends, long hours on jobs and extreme weather conditions.
